About The Green Spiral

The Green Spiral is an organization dedicated to bridging the gap between the human experience and the natural world. We offer nature-based practices that help you reconnect with the earth and tap into its healing power.

Every product, course, and interaction we provide is designed to raise awareness of our interconnectedness with nature—and nature’s essential role in our well-being. Our ultimate mission is to equip individuals with the tools and resources necessary to use nature as a healing resource and advocate for the freedom to access it.

The name The Green Spiral symbolizes a collective journey inward—a path of growth, evolution, and deeper connection with both our communities and the natural world. It’s a call to become more mindful of how we live, interact with nature, and contribute to a healthier planet.

Hello friends, I’m Katie Jones, and my connection with nature started early on.

As a young adult, I didn’t always know where to turn to find peace or direction. Living in a very rural location, I found myself escaping often into the woods, immersing myself into it's silence. That quiet stillness helped clear my mind and gave me the space to start making choices that would improve my life. From then on, nature became a constant source of calm, clarity, and guidance.

Over the years, I found ways to bring this deep connection to nature into my work. I became a raft guide, learning first-hand how powerful and healing the outdoors can be. This led me to study psychology and environmental science, wanting to understand more about both the human mind and the natural world. I then worked as a wilderness therapy guide, helping young people navigate tough personal challenges in the outdoors and guiding them toward healing.

Shortly after, my journey took me to France, where I had the chance to teach English in universities and high schools. While there, I saw how connected the French are to nature—and how it’s woven into their daily lives. When I returned to the U.S., I couldn’t help but notice how disconnected many people had become from the environment. With the demands of long work hours and busy urban living, it’s harder to find the time or space to connect with nature, and in turn, to reconnect with ourselves.

As a guide and eco-health coach, I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with nature in ways that are accessible and practical. Whether it’s finding time to step outside during a busy workday or learning how to advocate for the protection of our natural spaces, I believe that nature has the power to heal, restore, and guide us.

Through my experience as a guide, teacher, and traveler, I’ve learned that nature isn’t just something we visit—it’s something we can integrate into our everyday lives. I’m here to help you find your own path back to nature, so you can feel more balanced, grounded, and connected to your true self.
